Ernie Powell is a lifelong activist and community leader. In the 1960s, he helped organize the United Farm Workers during the international grape boycott. Since then he has lead efforts at the national, state and local level on issues around health care reform, retirement security, affordable housing, and other key issues impacting millions of working Americans. A 19 year veteran with AARP and having left that organization in 2012, Ernie is an expert on policy and strategic issues impacting older Americans. His show, the Campaign with Ernie Powell features leaders from the progressive community talking about how to win on progressive issues at all levels.
