Nuthin' Day

I am having a ‘nuthing’ day, a day of much needed rest and doing absolutely nothing!!

I lie; clothes were washed, dried, folded and put up. Food was prepared and ate. Prayers were prayed and email, face book checked and people replied do. Now as I watch TV and doze off, you my dear friends were thought of--- and because this is a ‘nuthing’ day, you were going to be ignored.

“What are you thinking?”

“What Lord, whatever can I say that would bring new insight into their already highly wise minds? You know like opening the Bible and getting something new from what has already been read? (EXCUSE ME!) You are right God, what am I thinking?”

Well here it is, the insight to this conversation and sudden poke in the drowsy mind.

When we are thinking, ‘oh what is the use, or nothing is going on, or what difference do I make’---That is definitely thinking from hell so to speak. We are not thinking from a heavenly source! So, what in heavens name are we thinking? Look carefully at your thoughts and you will know. Are our thoughts from heaven or ahem, ‘from the other place?’ It is time to get tough again with the humdrums, and life is boring, same ole same ole and I don’t feel like doing NUTHIN! You know, the lackadaisical attitude (oh my gosh lackadaisical is a word—spell check just popped up the correct spelling. Surprise, surprise.)

My Dad once deeply believed he was going to hell, for no matter what he did,or how much he prayed, it felt like hell after mom died. Old age can do that to us. Our bodies don’t work like that used to do, our minds aren’t as sharp and our looks, oh my goodness, if God depended on our looks to help another, well God help them, for it ain’t happening from this human. If God depended on any of our humanness, nothing would indeed be happening--- but that is it, He doesn’t. In our weakness, He is able to do all things as long as we are willing to trust, to surrender and to believe that I make a difference simply because I AM, and through Him I AM able to do all things. I am His, He is mine and we are One with the Father and I AM able through the power of the Holy Spirit do all God the Father asks. Now, that my friends are thoughts from the Mind of God. Peace be with you in your nuthingness.
